1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password. You may optionally provide your name, preferred industry, and job role.

Practice Data

We store the answers you submit (text or voice transcriptions), AI feedback scores, and session history so you can track your progress.

Payment Information

Premium subscriptions are processed by LemonSqueezy. We do not store your credit card details. We receive your LemonSqueezy customer ID and subscription status to manage your account tier.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and device type to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain the ThinkAloud service
• To generate AI-powered interview feedback on your answers
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To improve the service and fix issues
• To communicate important account or service updates

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party providers as necessary:

• Supabase — Authentication, database hosting, and file storage
• Google (Gemini API)— AI feedback generation. Your answers are sent to generate feedback and are subject to Google's data processing terms.
• OpenAI— Voice transcription. Audio recordings are sent for speech-to-text processing and are subject to OpenAI's data processing terms.
• LemonSqueezy — Payment processing for Premium subscriptions

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and practice history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Cookies

ThinkAloud uses essential cookies to manage authentication sessions. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for data processing

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security policies on our database. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

ThinkAloud is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice.
